The first of its kind event in the South-East was held in partnership with Ardkeen library and the Environment Department of Waterford City and County Council. The initiative, aimed at promoting eco-conscious choices and fostering a circular economy, drew an overwhelming response from the community, with a massive queue forming well before the event's scheduled 2pm start time. Attendees were treated to a vibrant atmosphere filled with excitement and anticipation as they eagerly exchanged a diverse array of items, giving them new life and purpose. From household goods to instruments, books to toys, the event showcased the transformative power of collective action in reducing waste and minimizing our environmental footprint. Every exchanged item represented a step towards a more sustainable future, emphasizing the importance of reusing and repurposing resources in our daily lives. Over 200 people participated in this event.
