Our Youth Climate Council (YACC) were delighted at being invited to be part of the launch of the Gum Litter Campaign!! A few were even able to show up for some pics in Broad Street and play some basketball! Litter, in all its forms, is an important topic for this group. The Gum Litter Taskforce were in Waterford yesterday as part of this year’s roadshow. In its 16th year, the campaign carries out education and initiatives that demonstrate the proper means of gum disposal and raise awareness of the environmental and fiscal impacts of gum litter. The campaign is a collaboration between Food Drink Ireland, the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications, the chewing gum industry, and local authorities.
