We were so excited to announce our photography competition. We had two categories, 18 and under and 19 plus with prizes for each. We had a wonderful response with so many interesting and fantastic entries. All participants had to do was take a picture that shows us what Ireland is doing to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs). The SDGs were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 to guide the world community from 2016 to 2030. The SDGs, sometimes referred to as Agenda 2030 or the Global Goals, are based on the three pillars of sustainable development: economic, environment and social, and all need to be supported in order to achieve a just and equitable future.
